How Cards became part of Pam Barbour Art folio

Pam began producing cards from her original paintings in 2003. This was a reluctant course of action and only came about from pressure from her family.

I had been quite sick with Ross River virus, which was not diagnosed for 2 years. This sickness left me with bouts of severe disability which left me unable to work.
The children and I persuaded Pam to start making her Art a commercial affair. Cards seemed to be a good idea to increase the reach of her original paintings and make them more affordable for more people.
Many of her artist friends tried to put her off, telling her that it would reduce the value of her work and that cards would be too expensive to produce, as one needed to print very large quantities.

We pressed on with our research and came across a wonderful print company who did Direct press printing. This meant that pictures went straight from computer to press thus enabling small quantities.
Not only small quantities but the ability to change the required card pictures each print run, without the need to create another plate. The combination of these two facilities were exactly what we needed.

Thus Ndofu Art began. Selling both Pam Barbour Originals and Pam Barbour Cards.

The little logo chosen for the business came from family discussions. Gary had drawn pictures like the little elephant when a child and it also reminded us of where Pam began her painting. Kenya and African Animals.

Pam’s cards are now well known around Western Australian tourist venues and spreading to appreciative clients in many other parts of the world.

Greeting Cards and Originals online

Splendid Blue Wren CardWe have made this blog in an effort to make buying Art Greeting Cards and Original Paintings from Pam’s two web sites easier.

Our request to you is to tell us how we can be better. What we are doing right. Suggestions of what you would like to see. Anything that will help to make your buying and viewing experience better.

We have visited many online Card sites and many are confusing and difficult to see what you want. Our home page has simple quick packs that show exactly which cards are in the pack. Alternatively you can view each gallery and then visit the  Buy Greeting Cards page and select one of the options from there. There are the same pack choices or a mixed pack or even a, choose your own pack, where you insert the number of the card you wish separated by commas, for ten individually chosen cards.

Check it out and let us know if it is easy to follow or where we could improve, even if you are only browsing.

Here is the link to the site.

Thanks for your help.
